About Atty. Jeff Shepard
Jeff is originally from Battle Creek, Michigan and was active in sports through high school. Jeff has two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Public Law from Western Michigan University. Jeff’s first bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Biomedical Sciences minor was obtained directly after high school with a then goal of medical school, he instead decided to get some real-world experience before pursuing more education.
While running his construction company on one winter’s day on a very cold and windy morning, standing on top of a steep-pitched 4-story roof it finally made more sense to apply his intellectual abilities in a much more hospitable and rewarding environment. Jeff continued to work in the restaurant business and residential construction industry for several more years and then returned for his second bachelor’s degree in Public Law, which is Western Michigan’s honors program for Political Science.
Jeff’s original plan was to then go directly to law school after receiving his second bachelor’s degree but, as life often happens, plans had to be put on hold for a few years to help take care of his Alzheimer’s addled Grandmother and then endure a contentious divorce himself. After surfacing from those life experiences (which he often draws from to provide advice to his clients), Jeff again redirected his efforts to help others through their toughest times as their attorney. Jeff graduated from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School in 2015 where his focus was Constitutional Law and Real Property. Shortly after graduation, he relocated from Michigan to Colorado and has been practicing law successfully here since.
Jeff enjoys golf, travel, hiking and managing Odde’s Music Grill in his spare time. Jeff has been a passionate University of Michigan sports fan since he was a child, currently a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association and is always happy to talk about U of M football.
